UMass Hosts Tsinghua Distinguished Freshman

On July 30th, the Tsinghua Distinguished Freshmen presented their final projects to an audience of executives and educators. The projects described their experience of their UMass China Institute sponsored-seminar "How to Win a Nobel Prize". The students came to Massachusetts for three weeks to visit UMass campuses and to experience life as a college student in the United States. Tsinghua chooses top tier universities to host their distinguished freshmen, all of which entered Tsinghua University after placing first in their districts on the National Exams.

This is the first year UMass was chosen. Other schools to host
